Chicago has a slight edge straight up over the past 10 meetings, going 6-4 SU, but has covered the point spread just three times in those games.
Bettors should note a very strong “under” trend, as eight of the past 10 have gone under the total, including all five of the past five meetings. Even more telling, eight of the past 11 in Chicago have gone under. As well, the total has gone under in four of New York’s last five games on the road, and in four of Chicago’s past six overall.
This is the third meeting of the season, with the teams splitting the first two games. They last met on Dec. 22, when the Knicks won 88-81, covering the point spread as a 6-point home favorite. The score went under the total of 199.5.
New York is coming into this game on a three-game losing streak. The latest setback was last Tuesday, when the Knicks dropped a 118-114 decision against the visiting Sacramento Kings. New York had been a 5-point home favorite. The score sailed way over the total of 215.
The bulls lost their last game by a score of 107-87 on Wednesday against the Orlando Magic. Orlando was a 4.5-point road favorite and the score slipped under the total of 195.5.
New York (19-32 SU, 23-28 ATS) is 1-6 SU in its past seven games on the road. Chicago (25-26 SU, 24-25-2 ATS) is 7-3 SU in its last 10 games at home.
