By Jack Williams • Feb 23rd, 2010 • Category: NBA

The Phoenix Suns take on the surging Oklahoma City Thunder in a battle fifth place in the NBA’s Western Conference on Tuesday at the Ford Center (8 pm ET, FOX).

The Thunder are 6.5-point favorites and the over/under total is 204 in NBA Odds at JustBet.

The Thunder have won nine straight, and a 10th win in a row tonight would the franchise its longest winning streak in 14 years, since well before the team was the Seattle Supersonics.

The Suns are 9-1 outright over the past 10 head-to-head, but have only covered the point spread three times over that span.

This is the second meeting of the season. On Dec. 23, the Thunder beat the Suns 117-113 as an 8.5-point road underdog. The score went over the total of 213.

In their last game Sunday, the Suns beat the Sacramento Kings 104-88 as a 9.5-point favorite. The score fell under the over/under total of 216.

Jason Richardson scored a game-high 26 points for Phoenix and Amar’e Stoudemire added 19 points and 14 rebounds in the win.

The Thunder defeated the Minnesota Timberwolves 109-107 as a 5-point favorite on Sunday, with the score going over the over/under total of 201.5.

Kevin Durant poured in 32 points for the Thunder, while Russell Westbrook added 22 points, 10 rebounds and 14 assists in the win.

Phoenix (34-23 SU, 31-25-1 ATS) has won two straight games. Oklahoma City (33-21 SU, 33-21 ATS) has won nine straight games.

Phoenix is 5-1 SU and ATS in its last six games on the road, while Oklahoma City has a nearly identical record (5-1 SU, 5-0-1 ATS) in its past six at home.
