Mississippi State takes on No. 2 Kentucky Wildcats

Kentucky is a 3.5-point favorites and the over/under total is at 142.5 in College Basketball Odds.
The Wildcats are 6-4 straight up in the past 10 meetings, and are even better at 11-4 SU in the past 15 meetings. However, the Wildcats have not done well against the point spread, going just 3-6-1 ATS in the past 10 meetings.
The teams have not squared off since last season. The Bulldogs beat the Wildcats 66-57 in a huge upset on Feb. 3 last season. Kentucky had been a 10.5-point home favorite and the score went under the total of 139.
In its last game on Saturday, Kentucky managed 43 points in the second half to beat the Tennessee Volunteers 73-62 in a clash of Top 25 squads. Kentucky covered the 10-point spread and the score went under the total of 147. John Wall scored 22 points with four rebounds and four assists.
And the Bulldogs beat the Auburn Tigers 85-75 in overtime on Saturday. Mississippi State failed to cover the 10-point spread and the score went over the total of 144.5.
Dee Bost paced the Bulldogs’ win with a game-high 32 points.
Kentucky is 24-1 straight up and 12-11 against the point spread this season, and has won five straight games. Mississippi State is 18-7 straight up and 11-8-1 against the spread, and has won its past two games.
