Louisville opens Big East tournament against Bearcats

March Madness Betting Odds have the Cardinals as a 6-point favorite and the over/under total at 138.
Louisville is 6-4 straight up and 5-4-1 against the spread over the past 10 head-to-head, and is 6-2 SU in the past eight. Over/under bettors should note that the total has gone under in seven of the past 10 meetings.
The Bearcats and Cardinals met once during the regular season. Louisville beat Cincinnati 68-60 on Jan. 24, failing to cover the spread as a 9-point home favorite. The score went under the total of 141.
The Bearcats edged the Rutgers Scarlet Knights 69-68 in the opening round of the Big East Tournament on Tuesday night. Cincinnati failed to cash as an 8-point favorite, and the score went over the 132.5-point total.
Louisville upset the No. 3 Syracuse Orange 78-68 win at Freedom Hall on Saturday. Louisville covered as a 1-point home underdog and the score was a push with the 146-point total. Samardo Samuels leads the Cardinals with 15.4 PPG.
Cincinnati is 17-14 SU and 7-19 ATS, and has a 7-11 SU record in the Big East, while Louisville is 20-11 SU and 10-16 ATS, and 11-7 SU in the conference.
Cincinnati is 2-5 SU in its last seven games overall while Louisville is the exact opposite at 5-2 SU in its last seven.
The total has gone under in six of Louisville’s last nine games.
