At 11:00 on Saturday night, college football betting fanatics will have one final shot to try to boost their bankrolls before Sunday’s NFL wagering slate. The Oregon State Beavers will head to Vegas to clash with the UNLV Runnin’ Rebels. You can find the Beavers lined at -7 and an over/under of 53.5 at JustBet.com right now!
Does anyone realize that the Oregon State Beavers are 10-1 ATS in their L/11 college football wagering affairs? Last week, they didn’t have any problems with Portland State, recording a 34-7 victory. The Rodgers brothers once again made their impact on the game in a big way. Jacquizz carried the ball 16 times for 103 yards and three touchdowns and added four catches for 32 yards. James only carried the ball twice for 23 yards, but he also caught two balls for 95 yards and a touchdown and had 49 return yards.
No one really expects the UNLV Runnin’ Rebels to have much of an effect on the Mountain West standings this season, but they got off to a good start last week by beating Sacramento State 38-3. The passing attack had a nearly perfect game last week. Junior QB Omar Clayton followed up a solid sophomore season by getting off to a great start to the ’09 season by throwing for 213 yards on 13 of 17 passing with one touchdown and no picks.
A win over Oregon State would be a huge boost for a UNLV program that is bowl hungry. The Beavers have a lot of talent on the offensive side of the ball, and the speedy Pac-10 program shouldn’t have any problem disposing of an overmatched, second-tier MWC school. It may be close for awhile, but the Rodgers brothers should outscore the Rebels easily in this one.
Selection: Oregon State -7
