SEC East action headlines ESPN2’s Saturday night action when the South Carolina Gamecocks and Georgia Bulldogs collide in a CFB betting battle. The host Bulldogs currently sit as 7-point home favorites with a game ‘total’ of 40 at JustBet Sportsbook

It was far from a flawless victory, but the Gamecocks did just enough to win outright last week in Raleigh. The offense was pretty much a no show as it combined to gain just 256 yards overall. It did however capitalize on a huge Wolf Pack turnover early in the 1st quarter that allowed SC to take a 7-0 lead that the defense would never relinquish. Speaking of the Gamecocks stop unit; it was spectacular in limiting what is considered to be a potent NCST offense to just 133 total yards of offense. It sacked QB Russell Wilson six times, accumulated nine tackles for loss, and held the Wolfpack out of the red zone the entire game. Most important however was the fact that SC didn’t commit the costly turnover that plagued it in so many games a year ago.

Georgia got off to a fantastic start in its game with the Cowboys last week. QB Joe Cox navigated the offense right down the field on the unit’s first possession that was capped off with a score when he connected with WR Michael Moore from four-yards out. It was all downhill from there on out though, as the Cowboys took advantage of three forced turnovers to pull out the impressive home win and cover. The Bulldogs offense just wasn’t on the same page gaining a total 257 total yards and converting just 4 of 12 third down opportunities, but the defense held up its end of the bargain. The Dawgs stop unit limited one of the best offenses in the country to 307 yards of total offense, which included holding the Pokes passing attack to just 135 yards overall.

This has all the makings of one of the ugliest games of the week. Both defenses should rule as both looked to be eons ahead of the offenses last week. With the ‘under’ a perfect 12-0 ATS the L/12 overall meetings between these division rivals, this is an ez call. UNDER! UNDER! UNDER! Did I tell you I LOVE the UNDER!!!
