NFL 2010 Season Preview: Green Bay Packers

By Hank Harris • Aug 18th, 2010 • Category: NFL

The Green Bay Packers are one of three very dangerous teams in the NFC North Division. This division may have the most talent of any division in the NFL. With the Vikings and Bears putting together solid teams, the Packers will need to play at their best if they hope to take the division title.

The Packers are at +1000 to win Super Bowl XLV in NFL Futures at JustBet. The regular season win total for the Packers is 10, with the Over at +100 and the Under paying -130.

Despite the competition I believe that the Packers will be the favorites to win the division. Aaron Rodgers put up amazing numbers last season and is only expected get better with time. Rodgers spent a lot of time in the shadow of Brett Favre, but he emerged last season. He threw for nearly 4500 yards and had 30 touchdown passes. The Packers have improved their offensive line and things are looking even better in 2010.

Ryan Grant showed that he was capable of being a top level running back last year. He totaled more than 1200 yards and had 11 touchdowns. He will need to continue to be consistent in 2010 to take the pressure off of Rodgers.

The defense of the Packers was excellent last year. The team surrendered less than 300 points on the season. Charles Woodson, A.J. Hawk, and Nick Barnett are all big time play makers and they can carry the defense.

This team has all of the elements necessary to not only take the division, but to make a run at the Super Bowl. This team appears to have it all. Look for a strong season from the Packers in 2010.
