Green Bay Packers at Philadelphia Eagles
By Jack Williams • Jan 8th, 2011 • Category: NFLThe Green Bay Packers will take on the Philadelphia Eagles this weekend. These two teams are two of the most exciting teams in the NFC and they should put up a good fight as they square off on Sunday. Both of these teams finished the season at 10-6 and the Eagles took home field advantage by winning their division. This will be a large disadvantage to the Packers are they are just 2-5 in their last 7 games on the road.
The Eagles will be the 3 point favorites in NFL Lines. The total for the game is set at 46.5.
The Packers have one of the best defenses in the league, allowing just 15 points per game. They will have a tough task ahead of them this week as they play against one of the best offenses in the league. The Eagles are averaging more than 27 points per game this season.
The Eagles have an offensive attack unlike any other as they are led by Michael Vick. Vick has an amazing arm, but also is arguably the most agile player in the NFL with the football in his hands. Between Vick and the running backs of the Eagles they have averaged 145 yards per game on the ground this season.
The Packers will need to keep Vick in the pocket and make him throw the ball. He has showed a heavier tendency to throw interceptions recently and the Packers could force him to make mistakes. If the Packers are able to force a few turnovers they will have an excellent shot at winning this game.
