Pittsburgh Steelers, Green Bay Packers clash in Super Bowl XLV
By Chico Rodriguez • Feb 6th, 2011 • Category: NFLThe Green Bay Packers will take on the Pittsburgh Steelers in the finale of the NFL season. This Super Bowl matchup should be a great one as these teams match up very well against each other.
The Green Bay Packers will be the 2.5-point favorites in Super Bowl Odds. The total for the game is set at 45.
These teams have two of the best defenses in the NFL and there should be a lot of physical play. The Steelers have the best run defense in the league and only allowed their opponents about 60 yards per game on the ground. While the Packers allowed more yards per game, they only allowed their opponents to score 15 points per game this season.
While these teams both have great defenses, the quarterbacks in the game may be the keys for each team. The Packers are led by Aaron Rodgers. Rodgers has the highest playoff quarterback rating of any quarterback and is the type of quarterback that can carry a team on his back. Ben Roethlisberger is a former Super Bowl champion and always seems to step up for the Steelers at the right time.
Early in the season teams were able to force Rodgers to make some mistakes and throw some interceptions. If the Steelers are able to pressure Rodgers into making the same types of mistakes that he made at the beginning of the season they will have a good chance at taking home a victory in this year’s Super Bowl.
