Everybody loves a Game 7.

It almost doesn’t matter which sport the pivotal matchup is played in – NBA, MLB or NHL – it’s not hard to get drawn into the hype and intensity and desperation that comes with a series-clinching game.

On Wednesday, the Montreal Canadiens will take on the defending Stanley Cup champion Pittsburgh Penguins in the deciding Game 7 of their Eastern Conference semifinal series (7:05 pm ET, Versus).

The best-of-seven series is tied 3-3. The winner will advance to the Eastern Conference Final and face the winner of the Boston Bruins-Philadelphia Flyers semifinal.

JustBet NHL Betting Odds have the Penguins as -240 moneyline favorites and the over/under total at 5.5.

Mike Cammalleri led the Canadiens past the Penguins 4-3 in Game 6 of their Eastern Conference semifinal series on Monday night, knotting the series at 3-3. Montreal won as +155 home underdogs and the score went over the 5.5-goal total.

Andrei Kostitsyn chipped in with two assistss for the Canadiens. Sidney Crosby had a goal and an assist for Pittsburgh, while Sergei Gonchar put up two assists for the Penguins.

The total has gone under in four of the past five meetings, in four of Montreal’s last five, in four of Pittsburgh’s last five, and in four of Montreal’s last five on the road.
